Who Let the Dogs Out IN?!
As everyone knows, Melbourne dog folk love their coffee. And they love it almost as much as their dogs!
Unfortunately though, not all cafes and restaurants love having our furry friends along for a puppacino so we’ve compiled a list of all the best cafes around Melbourne that welcome dogs.
Dog House, Collingwood
Dog House in Collingwood is a great place to start, and we are pleased to say is centered around dogs and then making their humans feel welcome – just the way it should be! As well as great coffee and dog treats, they also sell a range of dog related accessories.
Bell Street Coffee & Spritz, Fitzroy
For the Fitzrovians who need something stronger than a coffee along with their Puppucino order, Bell Street Coffee & Spritz is an ideal spot.
Bellboy Cafe, Brunswick East
Brunswick East’s Bellbuy Cafe is a popular coffee stop for the local Brunswick doggos and offering a modern take on some of the breakfast classics for the humans. Paired with excellent puppucinos, this is one cafe that keeps the puppers returning for more.
Mocha Joes, Glen Waverley
Known amongst the humans for it’s great breakfast and lunch menu, Mocha Joes also serves a mean puppucino judging the time most dogs take to down one.
Paws Up Cafe, Balwyn
With a special menu, just for dogs, Paws Up Cafe in Balwyn really know how to endear themselves to our four legged friends. The accompanying menu for the humans is pretty spesh so you’ll get to enjoy yourself too!
Old Man Drew, Ascot Vale
With it’s many hidden nooks and serene atmosphere, we can see why dog lovers might want to stop in here for their caffeine fix. With a dog friendly yard and an interior brimming with hanging plants, Old Man Drew is a personal favourite that we return to again and again.
Moby, Armadale
No, Armadale hasn’t gained a megastar as a new resident, but it does have a restaurant with hues of a foodie megastar; Yotam Ottolenghi. With a cracking menu for the humans, Moby is also a great dog friendly spot for lunch.
A Minor Place, Brunswick
We won’t describe this one to you – the food is too amazing! Dog friendly, so that’s all you really need to know!
Kanteen, South Yarra
Located near the river so it’s perfect for working off a big breakfast and your dog will love you – a walk AND a puppucino?! Awesome!
Keep them off the furniture though!
Left Field, Carnegie
With plenty of pup watching to do, this is an ideal spot for dogs and owners to relax over coffee or a great brekkie.
Miss Drew’s Bakery & Dog Cafe, Tyabb
Moving farther afield to the Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland, the small town of Tyabb hosts the excellent Miss Drew’s Bakery & Dog Cafe. As you’d expect when you move further away from the city, there is always a warm welcome, and if you’ve got a dog in tow then it’s a VERY warm welcome!
While you and your pooch have been sipping puppucinos, Melbourne’s dog photographers have been busy snapping.
